Like artifacts in a display case, the wooden decorative panels, which originally belonged to a car, are carefully framed. The polished surface, the distance created by the framing and the knife-like shape gives the objects an almost threatening sharpness.
In this series, Lazar Stojić detaches the object from its intended purpose and thus allows for new associations. By appropriating these panels, he enables an analytical perspective on a product that is rarely looked at individually, illuminating its design, materiality and its embedded symbolism of value and power.
